Caterham – 2.0L XE

Graham Ford has been a customer for many years, he originally came to us when he decided to upgrade his Caterham from a cross flow powered car to run the 2.0L Vauxhall XE engine.  He originally started with our TP208 kit and then came back each winter adding various goodies and upgrades to his engine as finances permitted. He added a dry sump system to the TP208 kit because he wanted to use the car for sprints & hill climbs & then went to the TP250 kit. He also reduced the size of the flywheel to 233mm version & used firstly the 7 ¼ ” and then the 5 ½” clutch. The next step was to the TP270 kit and finally up to the top specification kit that we produce.  He recently had to re-built the engine & is now running our 2.0L Vauxhall 292bhp specification kit, but with an 8 injector set-up which produces 296bhp.

He was 1st in Class at Colerne 3 May 2010 with 80.09s.
