A great start to the 2015 SBD British Sprint Championship for Mark with FTD at Castle Combe round and winning the Top 12 run-off with 117.44s.

Excerpt from Motorsport News 25.3.15: Mark Smith’s Reynard DB-Mk1 was top at Castle Combe last weekend as the MSA British Sprint series go underway. Under a clear spring sky, Mark Smith headed the Top 12 run-off from Craig Sampson, who shares Smith’s Reynard….The racing car classes dominated throughout the day, Smith consistently clear of the field for both timed runs, and his pace was set to continue improving.

He acheived a new 2.0L Racing car Record at Knockhill in July and got FTD at Lydden in May with 66.13s finishing 1st in Top12 run-off.

As you can see from the picture below, he was trying very hard at Anglesey in June 2015!

Excerpt from Motorsport News 14.5.14: ‘Mark Smith dominated proceeding in the latest round of the SBD Motorsport MSA British Sprint Championship. The flying Welshman was the fastest qualifier for the run-off and then set the two fastest times in the run-off itself. His pace was perhaps due to having a questionable practice time that was some 6 seconds off the pace an served to get him wound up and hungry to set the record straight. He smiled as he was applauded into the Paddock after his second Top 12 run.’
