Well done to Steve Miles, fastest 2L Racing Car and finished 5th Overall in the British Sprint Championship 2017 and winning the Saxon Trophy. He also got 2 new course records at Rockingham (63.79s) and Abingdon Long Course (88.81s) and won FTD 6 times.

Steve finished 5th in British Sprint Championship 2015, 3rd in 2.0L Racing Car Class and won the Celtic Trophy. He also finished 1st in Class in the HSA Speed Championship 2015.

Excerpt from Motorsport News 14.5.14 following the BSC Lydden round, when he finished 2nd in the Top 12 run-off: ‘It was a 2-litre shut out for the top 5 as Steve Miles, in his self developed Van Dieman, grabbed second place . He just held off a stirring challenge from Smith’s co-driver Craig Sampson.’
He finished 6th Overall in the British Sprint Championship.

Email received from Steve after the British Sprint Championship, final round at Anglesey, October 2013:
‘It hasn’t got better than this all season! After first t12 run I improved time to 49.11. But Terry was 49.10 and Graham 49.01. Didn’t leave anything in the table next run, car slightly damaged but avoided anything major and posted a new 2 litre record of 48.45 to finish 2nd in run off! Gearbox change, damage repair, tyre prep, awards and beers to drink right now!’
Steve finished 2nd in Class and 4th Overall in the British Sprint Championship 2013.

Steve finished the season with 4 FTDs at Mallory Park, Blyton Park, Goodwood and Brands Hatch. He was also equal 1st in Class with Mark Smith, Personal Best time 10.38s at the Brighton Speed Trials, 2012.

Steve Miles bought Bill Gouldthorpe’s Van Dieman after the Brighton Speed Trials 2010, which was powered by a 2.0L SBD Duratec.
