We have found during testing that the auto tensioner for the cambelt on the 1.6L EcoBoost is not suitable for motorsport use and the auto tensioner causes the mechanism to oscillate. This causes inaccuracies in pulley alignment and could potentially cause damage or engine failure if the tensioner itself fails.
