Duratec ultra lightweight flywheel 268mm (5.5″), suitable for 5.5″ clutch.

This new small diameter lightweight flywheel has been specially produced for the Duratec 2.0L & 2.3L engine. The diameter of 268mm has been made as small as possible, so that it still allows for a starter motor to be fitted to the engine block. We have produced it to accept the 5.5″ (140mm) clutches. The new smaller diameter reduces inertia, so the engine will be able to accelerate faster. It is used by many competitors in racing, rallying and sprinting.

Must be used with SBD starter motors STR-DURA-2.0-2.3L-02A.

The standard Duratec clutch & flywheel assembly is not suitable for competition use & therefore has to be replaced with a suitable combination.
