Duratec Special F3 Dry Sump System

We have designed a dry sump system specifically for installations where the engine needs to be fitted as low as possible in a car such as Formula 3 type or sports cars. The sump pan is 25mm deep & CNC’d from an aluminum billet, in order to make the system shallow yet efficient it has been machined from both sides. There is then a lower plate screwed on from the underside to enclose all the scavenge detail. The oil pump bolts directly to the sump pan as close as possible to the engine block on the exhaust side of the engine. The pump has been specifically designed with an extremely high capacity 3-stage gear type pump. It has been extensively tested on our own SBD Reynard & has performed perfectly.

Note: Due to the height of the dry sump system you would need to run a 210mm diameter flywheel.
