SBD XE Ultra High Spec D/valve Spring, Cap & Platform Kit

This ultra high specification valve train is more compact and lighter and the spec of the spring is a step up again from the version we were already using VLSK-VX2-01K. This valve spring kit uses specially developed dual rate coils, the spring must be installed with the tighter coils at the seat face as this is the stationary end of the spring.

 

We are still using a special ultra-lightweight steel, which can be machined much thinner than normal materials, in fact can be made virtually the same weight as the titanium cap, but with increased durability because Titanium deforms over time.

 

In combination with our special double valve spring and a new platform to give the correct installed height, the new set will allow for even greater control of the valve train on high performance engines, allowing up to 14.5mm of valve lift with increased durability.

 

It also will help to cope with the rigours of future developments of the XE engines.
