Description

Vauxhall 2.0L XE TP300bhp Kit

SBD have been developing the top specification 2.0L XE engine over many years and the development of the latest slipper piston and con-rod has allowed us to push the engine to 300bhp. The engine is not only more powerful but the components within the engine are stronger to give a longer life and greater reliability.

The kit includes our high specification throttle bodies, injectors and fixed fuel regulator, along with includes an ultra lightweight steel crank, a dry sump system, slipper pistons & steel rods. This kit includes a Vauxhall XE cylinder head with CNC portwork, the valve sizes are 35mm/31mm and use +2mm diameter valves with a 7mm stem.

It also uses the MBE9A4 ECU, which comes ready programmed & ready to run, however we would recommend a mapping session to fine tune the engine. You may want to consider the MBE9A9 ECU, which has further advanced capabilities including gearbox control, EGAS/Electronic throttle and many other functions. The wiring harnesses have been specially designed to be as neat as possible and are available in front or rear wheel drive layouts to cover as many applications as possible, when ordering your kit you should specify whether your car is front, rear or mid engine layout.

It has our camshaft profiles, which we designed to give optimum performance both in bhp and torque. They are 300 degree inlet with 13.25mm lift & 290 degree exhaust with 12.60mm lift. We have developed a special ultra light steel valve cap, which has strength and durability and with the combination of the special valve springs and ultra light weight cam followers give long life and reliability to the valve train.

When building an engine of this level of tune we would recommend the use of a dry sump system for added protection, unless class rules prohibit their use. The dry sump kit has been included in the kit, along with a small external crank sensor and multi-vee pulley with 62-2 trigger wheel.  The dry sump system has a mounting to accept the crank sensor and when assembled everything aligns perfectly.

We have a choice of cambelt and idler set up, the layout can be decided upon depending on your own personal preference. Please discuss this when ordering.

We have our own air filters made especially for us by ITG and lazer cut air filter back plates, which simply both between the throttle bodies and the air horns. A choice of air filter length are available to suit your own installation.

There are a range of options, please chose the kit you are interested in running, look though the various options that may interest you, then add them to your enquiry and add a brief description of what you are looking to achieve.  We will then tailor your kit to suit your requirements. Please advise us if you are upgrading from our lower spec kits.

Exhaust Manifolds
All our kits have been developed using exhaust manifold designs that have been dyno tested and developed by ourselves. In order to achieve the optimum performance from your kit, you will need to have an exhaust manifold made to our design. When you purchase the kit, this information will be included.
