16v 2.0L XE Camshaft Pair for Standard Distribution Driven Engine
This cam profile has been designed to fit into a standard 2.0L XE engine with no modifications. This is the largest profile possible that can safely be installed without any modifications. It is recommended that Vernier cam pulleys are also used at the same time to ensure they can be accurately timed for optimum performance and also to ensure there is no valve to piston contact. We would expect gains of 8-12bhp*
Important Note: You should ensure that your engine has not been modified internally in any way, because this cam profile is designed to run safely within a standard engine. Modifications to the head, block or other components could reduce clearances and therefore potentially damage your engine. If you are in any doubt, it is recommended that you have the engine professionally inspected.
10.08mm lift, 260 deg duration, TDC lift at No4 cylinder: 1.22mm
We recommend the following additional valve train components:
Piston Recommendation: Standard pistons
Cam follower type: Standard
Valve spring, cap & platform type: Standard
Vernier Pulleys depending on the age of your engine: CMVP-1 or CMVP-4

All SBD camshafts have been designed in conjunction with Kent Cams and extensively tested on the dynamometer. Because of the costs involved in developing and testing, we charge a premium price for all our own cam profiles. If however, you wish to purchase Kent Cam profiles from their normal range of cams standard listings, these will be available at normal Kent Cams prices.
*Power gains can only be achieved provided your engine has the components to complement it. E.g. exhaust manifold & system, induction system & cylinder head porting where required. If you look at our upgrade kits they will give you more help.
