This upgrade represents a progression to a more serious level of engine tune & specification, because of this more care and attention to detail is required when building such an engine. The MBE9A4 ECU has been programmed & is ready to use, however we would recommend a mapping session to fine-tune the engine. If you are upgrading from the TP208kit, it is simple to reprogram your current MBE9A# ECU. This upgrade is most suitable for Gravel &Tarmac Rallying, Sports Cars, single Seaters, Slick shod Westfields and Caterham Type cars for Sprinting, Hill climbing and Circuit racing.
The kit is the first one to incorporate cylinder head work, which includes changes of valves & valve guides. The cylinder head & port work CNCd with race valves of 34mm inlet & 30mm exhaust. It also replaces the standard rods with steel ones to allow the kit to produce its full potential safely.
The cam design has been extensively tested by ourselves and many of our dealers over a few years before being applied to this TP260 kit.
When building an engine of this level of tune we would recommend the use of a dry sump system for added protection, unless class rules prohibit their use.
The wiring harnesses have been specially designed to be as neat as possible and is now in a modular design to allow the option of different coils and crank sensor types, as well as a range of other extra options.

We will then tailor your kit to suit your requirements. Please advise us if you are upgrading from our lower spec kits.
Exhaust Manifolds
All our kits have been developed using exhaust manifold designs that have been dyno tested and developed by ourselves. In order to achieve the optimum performance from your kit, you will need to have an exhaust manifold made to our design. When you purchase the kit, this information will be included.

When setting up the throttle body kit, it is recommended you use a synchrometer as shown in the instruction sheets, they are available from us, part number CRB-SYNCRO.
The engine kit dyno results are from DTW engines, where most of our engine designs are tested.
