Low Voltage Indicator for Warning Lamp

We hold in stock a low voltage indicator, however this will not operate a warning lamp in the normal way, the LVS only gives an output to switch the bulb on when the system voltage drops below around 11v, so with Ignition on the warning light will NOT illuminate, if the belt falls off the light will NOT illuminate, so you don’t get an instant warning of a problem unless the alternator has had an internal short and is pulling the voltage down.
The LVS will trigger at 11v, most cars will continue to run at this voltage so it is still an early warning sign, however it’s not as instant as a NO CHARGE light.
